Obituary of Carlene Patricia Kron

Carlene Patricia Kron (Winch) of Oro Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 272024at the age of 65.

Carlene is survived by her husband, Bert Kron; children, Jeremy Wren and Jared Wren; step-children, Erich Kron (Jennifer) and Amanda Paul (Brandon); seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lois Winch, and her brother, James Maring.

Carlene was born on June 24, 1958, in Denver, Colorado to Carl V. Winch and Lois E. Winch (Miller)She spent most of her life moving throughout Arizona and graduated from Joseph City High School in 1977. She met Bert Kron through mutual friends in 1991 and they married May 28, 1995Carlene enjoyed a long career with the Oro Valley Police Department, retiring with 21 years of service as a Forensic Specialist in 2012.  

Carlene loved to laugh and share joy with all those around her, making friends wherever she went. She loved to learn new things - like playing the harmonica, clog dancing, bowling, and various crafts. She and Bert enjoyed many travels together, especially to Aruba and Rhode Island, cruises all over the world, and camping at Burro Mountain Homestead. She and Bert also enjoyed many date nights to Gaslight Theater and shopping. She was an avid reader and chocolate enthusiast. Above all, she loved the Lord and maintained her faith through life’s struggles.

Her family remembers her as a faithful, kind, loving, witty woman who was a friend to all.

The Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 14th, 2024 at Adair Funeral Home, 8090 N. Northern Ave, Tucson, Arizona 85704. Mr. Bill Simms will officiate the ceremony.

The Interment is scheduled for 12:00 pm, Monday, April 8th, 2024 at Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana, 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ 85653.
