Norman Wagner

Obituary of Norman Franz Wagner

Norman Wagner passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023 and was surrounded by loved ones. Norman a husband, father, FIL, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin and friend died at the age of 86 years. He was born in Buffalo, New York and lived in Tucson, AZ for over 70 years.

Norman was a man who loved to have fun, be silly, loved polka music, was proud of his service in the Air Force, loved being grandpa to all the kids in the family, loved to banter, talk about trains, music and his “bride Donna.” He had a huge sweet tooth but watched his salt intake very carefully. He was a foodie…loved trying new things and could not miss a meal. He loved ice cream, drinking his nightly beer and always told us he loved us each and every night.

Norman worked in his family’s tool and die business starting in 1952, where they machined various parts for companies, such as Hughes Aircraft, Burr-Brown, University of Arizona and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

After serving in the United States Air Force, he returned to his job at Wagner & Son Tool and Die. He owned an organ shop and shared his love of music with the Tucson community. He worked for many years at Gates Learjet and various other jobs after (McCullough Corp, FW School District).

Norman was preceded in death by his lovely wife Donna Wagner, his father and mother Otto and Elise Wagner, and his sister Trudy Nelson. He is survived by his two sons Eric (Bonnie) and David, nephews (Jon, Jeff, Chas), nieces (Brandie, Eugenie), his grandchildren Bryan (Brittany), Corina and Marissa, cousins, grandchildren of his heart (Chelsea, Michael, Lorriana, Joey).
