Obituary of Kenneth Allen Combs

Kenneth Allen Combs passed away in the morning hours of January 24th, 2022 of natural causes. Born May 30th of 1928, Ken was a man who set an example of how to live life well. His generosity and kindness extended to everyone around him; he will be greatly missed.

Ken was a veteran of World War II, having signed up for the Merchant Marines at the age of 16. After completing service to his country he married the love of his life and moved from Rochester, New York to Tucson, Arizona where he worked as an truck mechanic and eventually the shop foreman for Pima County. After retiring from the county Ken worked as auto mechanic for Holmes Tuttle Ford until the early 1980’s when he retired again for the final time. During his nearly 35 plus years of retirement he enjoyed visiting with many friends, watching sports, rock hunting, and getting outdoors.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, son Brian, and wife Jean. He is survived by his oldest son Duane and daughter-in-law Patricia. He was blessed with three grandchildren: Stephen (wife Robynn), Chris (wife Crystal), and Daniel (wife Sandra), as well as 11 great-grandchildren; Ben, Marie, Caleb, Casen, Lucy, Nadia, Charlie, Matthew, Daniel, Carter, and Ian.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday February the 11th at Holy Hope Cemetery where Ken’s remains will be sealed with his deceased wife and son.
