Alan was an avid golfer, loved working in the garden, having a BBQ outside while listening to Kenny Chesney or Jimmy Buffet, and was always on the hunt for the next home improvement job to complete. He was always smiling and making silly jokes. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and was truly someone you could always count on. Alan lived in the moment, and always found the positive in every little thing. He was a dedicated employee, and a skilled salesman whose customers felt that positive energy. Those that knew him feel blessed to have had him in their lives. On April 2nd, 2004 he met Cathie. Little did he know that she would become his best friend, then wife, and they would spend the remainder of his years sharing a love that few are lucky to find. Alan is survived by his loving spouse of 11 years, Cathie Clayton and their fur babies Marley, Ariel, Charlie and Blackie. His two children, Lisa (David) Richins, and Shaun Clayton. His stepdaughters, Jessica (Travis) Schneider, Angie (Norman) Leslie. His many grandchildren Caitlyn, Sienna, Connor, Norman Jr, Emma, Amelia. His mother, Sheila Clayton. His sister Julie Clayton (Kevin Conry) and brother Nigel (Susan) Clayton. His nephews Kyle (Amy) Jacobson and Ryan (Joyce) Jacobson. He was preceded in death by Walter Clayton, his father. Alan's Celebration of Life: Location: Adair Funeral Home-Dodge Time: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Online condolences can be given at adairfuneralhomes.com.
