Obituary of Harold E Wright

WRIGHT, Harold E. 88, of Oro Valley, AZ died Monday, March 28, 2016, after a brief illness at Oro Valley Hospital. He was born November 26, 1927 in Bradford, PA., son of Clarence M and Bess Mortland Wright. Harold was one of four children. He graduated from Bradford High School in 1945. He enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1947. He returned to Pensylvania where he met and married Wilma L. Kelly on May 26, 1951. They resided in Erie, PA until moving to Arizona in 1978. Harold earned a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1962 while working full time, being a husband and also a father to two children. In 1963 he was employed by Erie Resister Corp. Soon after he began working with Erie Technological Products, Inc. In 1978 he moved to Tucson where he became part owner and Vice President of Engineering of Tusonix, Inc. He remained with Tusonix until his retirement in 1995. Harold was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a Past Master of the Northeast Lodge F & A M, an elder and a deacon of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Erie, Pa and an elder of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Tucson, AZ. Harold was predeceased by his parents as well brothers, Norman Mac Wright and Joseph D. Wright. He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Wilma K. Wright; two children, Attorney Douglas J. Wright (Maureen) of Girard, PA. and Mary K. Palin (Morton) of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Sarah, Lisa and Michael Wright and Jason Palin (Taylor). He is also survived by his sister, Muriel Calvert (Galen) as well as several nieces and nephews. Harold was a gracious and kind man to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. There will be no calling hours and the interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2420 E. Ft Lowell Rd.
