Obituary of Filberto Trezza Felix

Filberto (Phil) Trezza Felix Filiberto (Phil) Trezza Felix, 57, passed peacefully January 9, 2016. Husband, father, brother, uncle, and best friend. Phil's life and love are impossible to contain within a few paragraphs. His immense love and gratitude for his wife, children, brother, sisters, parents, family, and chosen family (friends) was demonstrated through his constant laughter and huge smile. Phil is somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody. Phil enjoyed his time floating with a cold buckskin at Roosevelt Lake as soon as the season allowed. He was an avid outdoorsman. Some of his greatest moments included his self-made backyard gatherings in his bar with his Bose speaker blasting his favorite country songs. If he wasn't there he was at Chuy's. He bled blue and green for his Fighting Irish. After years of coaching he took his love, dedication, and passion to the Tucson Rodeo where he served alongside his brother, Tony, and friends. He will always be remembered for his arsenal of knives, guns, tasers, and crazy gadgets. In the words of Phil, "This is all I have to offer. Kuminayaeha."A native Tucsonan, 1976 graduate of Amphitheater High School, and a member of the 1975 State Championship football team. Phil is survived by his wife of 30 years and best friend of 35 years, Penny; daughter Kara (Mike Van Winsen), and son Filiberto IV; Parents Filiberto Jr. and Rose Felix; Rose Felix, brother and best friend Tony (Lynne) Felix sister Rosemary (Edmundo Chacon); sister Angela "Augs" (John Faruolo); Brother-in-law Chris Marcsisak; godsons Tony (Celesa Felix) and Nick Faruolo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sister Christina Marcsisak and nephew Matthew Faruolo. Phil, after many career ventures found his home as a pool renovation salesman with Meadows Plastering for over a decade. His work motto was "A Pool Man's work is never done."His family will be having a celebration in his honor, Saturday January 16, 2016 at 4:00 pm at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds located at 4823 S 6th Avenue. Boots and jeans required, no ties or formal allowed, per Big Phil.In lieu of flowers any donations can be made in Phil's name to the Marisa Ann Gallego Foundation at 8606 N Maya Court Tucson, AZ 85742.
