Obituary of Mary Florence Harder

Mary Florence Harder 78 of Tucson, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on January 1, 2016. She was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Iowa City, Iowa. Mary completed 20 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. She continued to serve the public as a Director of Nursing as well as a Disability Advocate. Mary was very active as a member of St. Odilia's Catholic Community as a Eucharistic Minister and an RCIA sponsor. She enjoyed extensive travel with friends and family. Her hobbies were crafts and playing the organ. She is survived by long time special friend, Sharon Tiers; sisters, Elizabeth Miller, Jean (Ron) Schmidt; nephews, Douglas and Curtis Miller; nieces, Therese Teagarden, Kimberly Rudrud, Annastacia Jorgensen and many cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Rosary Recitation at 7:30 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo del Norte with Father Frank Cady officiating.
