Obituary of Cheryl A Lemaux

Cher was called home to be with her Lord and family after a long valiant battle with kidney failure and other related illnesses on Sunday September 27th 2015. Beloved wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend she will be dearly missed by all knew her. Cher was born December 30th 1948 in Emporium, PA to Louis B and Agnes Peterson.She was a 1966 graduate of Cameron County HS. She attended West Virginia University and Western Michigan University, earning a Bachelors degree in Political Science and History. In the fall of 1975 she husband Bill moved to Tucson where she worked as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Instructional Research and Development . After 10 years she returned to school in pursuit of a Masters Degree in Interior Design at the U of A. She then worked for the IEF Group, Architects & Planners for 13 years and was a 30 year member of Kappa Omicorn Nu Honor Society. Next she worked 13 years for Vilmorin Inc. Cheryl was an avid reader, loved to travel,enjoyed the theater and all the arts. She loved to cook and even wrote, hand stitched and hardbound her own cookbooks , making copies to give as gifts to family and friends . She loved sports, especially thoroughbred racing UA football and basketball, plus hiking,swimming, sailing and boating . She is survived by her husband of 43 years Bill,son James of Vancouver WA, cousins Paul Peterson and family, wife Joan, son Scott of Boise ID, daughter Kim Isaac and her family, husband Joe and daughters Allison and Samantha of Tucson,brother in law Clark Lemaux and family Peggy, Jessica and Brian of Moraga CA, as well as several other cousins and many friends spread throughout the country and the world. A memorial service will take place at Northminster Presbyterian Church. You may contact them by phone or online for details.
