Obituary of Charles Parker Miller

Charles Parker Miller 8/19/1929 - 2/10/2015 Charles died on February 10, 2015. He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Lehigh University with a Degree in Mining Engineering. He received his Masters Degree and PhD from Stanford University in Geology. He was a member and officer of several mining associations in Tucson, Arizona where he has lived for the past 47 years. He traveled extensively and enjoyed many sports including Football and Basketball games at the University of Arizona and San Francisco Giants games. He is survived by his adoring wife of 57 years, Mary and sister, Patsy. He has two children, Catherine and Christopher; four grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Kirsten, Parker and Keeley from Dallas, Texas and Brigid Delilah from Los Angeles, CA. He has numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edwin and son, Charles. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. There will be a Viewing from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME, 3081 W. Orange Grove and a Funeral Mass at St. Odilia's Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He will be laid to rest in the San Francisco, CA area at Holy Cross Cemetery Colma, CA. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice .
