Obituary of Crandall C Smith

SMITH, Crandall C. Sr. (89) Formerly of Fitchburg, MA. Tucson, AZ, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson. Born March 5, 1925 in Fitchburg, MA, he was the son of Rudolph Smith and Lillian (Anesty) Smith. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran who served in the European theater and was the youngest of eight children. He worked for Simonds Saw and Steel Company in Fitchburg for 42 years. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 67 years, Louise W. (Cordio) Smith; sons, Crandall Smith Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Tucson, Daryl Smith and his wife, Christine of Clinton, MA and Keith Smith and his wife, Lisa, also of Tucson. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jonathan Smith, Collin Smith and Dawn Gilman; three great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson, Gregory C. Smith who passed away in July of 2010. Crandall was a member of New Life Bible Fellowship in Tucson where he resided, and enjoyed working around his home and yard. A Memorial Service has been scheduled for 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the New Life Bible Fellowship, 4900 Cortaro Farms Road in Tucson. Funeral arrangements are being handled by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to New Life Bible Fellowship, 4900 W.
