Obituary of Edward Wayne Sapp

Edward Wayne Sapp, Sr. passed away unexpectedly in Tucson, AZ on October 12, 2014 at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy; his father, Lloyd Sapp, Sr.; his mother, Jane Sapp (Clyde) and his brothers, Lloyd Sapp, Jr. (Barb), Calvin Sapp and Neal Sapp. Eddie is survived by his children: son, Edward Sapp, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Inga Sapp; daughter, Dawn Bennett; son-in-law, Jonathan Bennett and son, Charles Sapp. His six grandchildren who lovingly called him "Papa" are Braeden, Vincent, Breven, Lilyana, Gabriella and Braxton. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Wiggins; brother, Norman Sapp (Sharon Sapp); brother, Jon Sapp; sister, Janet Pratt (Neil Pratt); sister, Joanne Dean (Eddie Dean); brother, Larry Sapp; sister, Louanne Cross (Mark Cross) and many nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved dearly. Eddie was born in Ravenna, Ohio and graduated from Southeast High School, where he was a wrestling star (he loved to talk about the glory days). He married his high school sweetheart, Cindy and together they had three beautiful children and six grandchildren. Eddie was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved spending time with his family and friends, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and making sure everyone was happy. He was the life of the party and the most loyal and loving person anyone could have ever met. His kids would say he was invincible. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church at 2565 East 18th Street, Tucson, AZ 85716, with a reception following at Al J's Tavern at 4980 East 22nd Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family.
