Obituary of Ethel Nelson Vanice

Ethel Nelson Vanice Born August 18, 1914, Lonsboda, Sweden; died May 9, 2014, Tucson, AZ. A resident of Omaha, NE, and Tucson, AZ, she was active with Uta Halee Home for Girls, P.E.O., and VASA Order of America, Reading Seed Children's Literacy Program. With her husband she spent a year in Uganda, Africa, with TechnoServe. Preceded in death by parents, August and Clara Nelson; husband, Jerome Vanice; brothers, Harry and Arne Nelson. Survived by daughters, Virginia Hahn (David) and Kathryn Baron (Edward); four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the caregivers at the Villas at Houghton for their loving care and TMC Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2014, at Tucson Botanical Gardens.
