Obituary of Linus Buckmeier

Linus Buckmeier, 89, passed away on May 6, 2014, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Meadow, South Dakota, and grew up in Lemmon, South Dakota, and served in the Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendelin and Rosa; sisters, Mary Eva and Caroline; and brother, Wendelin. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Josephine; daughter, Julie Ann (Kimberly); and sister, Rita. As newlyweds, Linus and Josephine moved to Tucson in 1957, where he became an auto and boat mechanic. He was always quick with a joke and willing to lend a helping hand to his church and friends. We would like to give special thanks to all of his dedicated and exceptional caregivers from Agape Hospice and Fairmount Assisted Living. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1945 E. Lee St., followed by interment at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle.
