Obituary of Gary Brainard

Gary Brainard, 70, our wonderful, funny, and loving husband, grandfather and great-grandfather went to be with the Lord after his battle with lung cancer. Gary was from Candor, New York, along with his sisters, Lenore and Sally. brother, Claude, and twin brother, Gordy. Gary attended Ithaca College. Gary served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1965 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. In 1964, he met the love of his life, Linda; and they were happily married for almost 49 years. Gary worked as a construction administrator for ADP and Fluor Daniels for over 20 years. Gary and Linda had four children, Gary Jr., Tammi, Randy, and Tara; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Gary will be deeply missed by his family and friends but will be forever remembered in our hearts. Thank you for being such a blessing in our lives. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Northwest Community Church, 505 W. Hardy Road. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel.
