Obituary of Sharon Ann Martak

Sharon Ann Martak of Tucson, Arizona passed away January 26th, 2022, with her son, James, by her side. Sharon was a beloved mother, grandmother, neighbor, and a wonderful friend. She had a gentle soul and a big heart and will be greatly missed by many.

Sharon was born to parents Connie and Clyde Martak on January 2nd, 1953. She moved to Tucson, Arizona with her family when she was in the fifth grade. Sharon fell in love with the Sonoran Desert and Tucson became a very special place in her heart. Sharon loved admiring the beauty of the Santa Catalina Mountains, and she also loved country music and was very proud of her Irish heritage. Sharon was a big fan of John Wayne, just like her dad, Clyde.

Sharon graduated from Salpointe High School in 1971 and went to work in the medical field for over forty years. Sharon took great pride in helping each patient she met over the many years. She thoroughly enjoyed helping others and was very proud of her five grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

Sharon is survived in legacy by her loving son, James McManamon (Jennifer) of Elgin, IL, and her three beautiful granddaughters, Chloe, Nora and Ryleigh; and her loving daughter, Kathleen McManamon of Tucson, AZ, her grandson Tyler (her little buddy), and her youngest granddaughter, Angel Rose.

Sharon is predeceased by her father, Clyde, her mother Connie, and her younger siblings, Catherine, and Marty.

Though Sharon will be missed by many, she is now back with her Lord and Savior, her parents and younger siblings, watching the desert sunset together again.

Please join her family in remembering Sharon. The funeral mass begins at 10:30 a.m. on February 21st, 2022, and will be held at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (5150 North Valley View Road, Tucson, AZ 85718). Following the funeral mass, please join Sharon’s Family in celebrating her life and exchanging memories. The burial service will take place the following morning, February 22nd, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Hope Cemetery (3555 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85705).
