Michael Perez, 60, passed away in his home in Tucson. He was survived by his mom, sister, two brothers and his beloved kitty. Michael was a Marine Corps brat and subsequently moved every two and three years. Amongst his favorite places he lived were Hawaii and Scotland. Michael settled in Tucson upon his father’s retirement. He attended his last three years of high school in the Tucson area. He was a three sport letterman - cross country, track, and baseball. Michael attended the University of Arizona on a work study scholarship due to both his academic and athletic accomplishments. He loved hanging out with his many friends at the UofA Mall, playing hacky sack and listening to music at The Cellar. Shortly after college, Michael became a Vegan and remained so until he passed While his profession was assisting Developmentally Challenged adults and youth, his passion was music. Michael was a self taught guitarist, once he felt he could share his passion through teaching guitar, Michael learned how to read music and included this with his students too. Michael loved all kinds of music, especially rock and roll. Name a rock and roll band and chances are that Michael saw them in a live concert and perhaps gained back stage access through his friends who played and managed bands locally and nationally. RIP - Rock in Peace, Michael
