Obituary of Dennis Duval

On February 21,2021, Dennis Duval, loving husband and father of two children passed away unexpectantly at the age of 69.

He fought a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis for several years with unwavering determination.  He delighted in making people laugh with his dry sense of humor, quick wit and endless quirky jokes.

Dennis was born on May 16, 1951 in Sycamore, Il to David and Cora Ann (Lawson) Duval. He graduated from Genoa-Kingston High School in 1969.  Dennis held a management position at A.O. Smith Harvestore in DeKalb Il prior to relocating his family to Tucson AZ in 1979.  Dennis retired from Hughes Aircraft /Raytheon Technologies after over 25 years of service.

During his youth Dennis participated in baseball, football and basketball and was a lifelong Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks fan. He discovered a passion for golf at the age of 21 and played the game with true enthusiasm until his MS symptoms impaired his agility.

Survivors include his wife Grace, daughter Michelle (Ben) Hill and son Brian Duval.  He was a very proud grandfather, “Pop,” to Branden and Emma Duval and Andrew Hill.  He is survived by his brother Douglas Duval and sister-in-law Linda of Mundelein, Il, his sister Dayle (Duval) Roberts and brother-in-law Tom of Saddlebrooke, AZ and brother-in-law Mike Mullvain and sister-in-law Gloria of Tucson Az and Rockford, Il as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents and grandparents and sister-in-law- Patricia Mullvain.

No services will be held at this time.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
