Obituary of Martha Jane Finley

Martha Jane Finley passed away September 21, 2020 in Eloy, AZ at the age of 62. She was the born November 17, 1957 in Cheyenne, WY to Aldra (Lassen) and Dr. S. Bruce Whittenberger. Martha was the youngest of 5 children but that never stopped her from keeping up with her older brothers and sisters while playing in the prairie or dressing the pet monkey in doll clothes.

Martha graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1976 and went on to earn her certification as a nursing assistant. Being a CNA led her to various positions throughout her life. Martha had a caring heart and was always looking out for her friends, helping them find meals or shelter when they were in need. She will be deeply missed by the people who knew and loved her.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents; brother Eric Whittenberger and sister Mary Reese. She is survived by her only daughter Erin Finley of Cottonwood, AZ; one grandchild; brother Steve Whittenberger of Laramie, WY; Ann (Marc) Hardy of Cheyenne, WY and numerus nieces and nephews.

Martha’s family will be having a private graveside service at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens in the spring of 2021.
