Obituary of Dixie Joan Howerton

Dixie Joan Howerton was born in Sonita, AZ, on August 13, 1932, and quietly passed away on April 4, 2014. Her family moved from Sonita to Tucson when she was five years old, and she graduated from Tucson's Amphitheater High School. She raised a family in Tulsa, OK, but always considered Tucson to be "home" and returned in 2004. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Luceille Hussmann, and her husband, Lloyd Wayne Howerton. She is survived by her two sons, Laurence Robert Howerton and his wife, Kathy, of Baton Rouge, LA; and Bradley Scott Howerton, and his wife, Pamm, of Plano, TX. Services are to be held Monday, April 14, 2014, at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 4440 N.
