Obituary of Ariana Mercedes Economou

Ariana Mercedes Economou Born July 14, 1999, Ariana received her angel wings on February 22, 2014, at home in Tucson. She is survived by her parents, Mark and Sonia Economou; her brother, Victor; her great-grandmother, Lydia Lopez; grandparents, Rip and Delores Economou, Mercy Valencia (Robert Sorensen), and Leonard Valencia (Becky); Godmothers, Anna (Rey) Valencia Claudio, Alexis (Dave) Bantel; and uncle, Greg (Betsy) Economou, in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends, all whom she loved dearly. Ariana was a beacon of light to those that met her. She spread kindness and love everywhere she journeyed. Despite a battle with neuroblastoma, Ariana approached life with a constant smile and unwavering determination. Services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2150 N. Alvernon Way. Please wear bright colors (purple and green).
