Obituary of Jean Stewart Wasserman Denker

DENKER, Jean Stewart Wasserman, July 2, 1928 - January 7, 2014. Daughter of Silas and Ann Wasserman, Jean moved to Tucson in 1951, where she met and married Russell Denker. They were married 53 years until Russell's death in 2005. An award-winning educator, gifted artist, tireless community volunteer, patron of the arts, and remarkable hostess, Jean was passionate about impacting the lives of others. Jean is survived by two sisters, six adult children, 17 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 9252 E. 22nd St. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Immanuel Endowment or charity of your choosing.
