Obituary of Brian M. Thome

Brian M. Thome, 70, passed away on November 18, 2013. He was born on September 27, 1943, in Berwyn, IL to Martin and Lucille Thome. He found his way to Arizona after serving in the Army during the Vietnam War. He started his long-time career with the phone company, Mountain Bell, and continued working in telecommunications with US West and Qwest. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Maria Thome; his daughters: Lorraine Doris (Bryan) of Tucson, AZ, Margaret Jones (Mike) of Anchorage, AK, Annette Bates (Bucky) of Chino Valley, AZ; and his sons, Brian Thome (Kim) and Duane Thome (Laura), both of Tucson, AZ; his brothers, Alan Thome and Mark Thome; and sister, Diane Schaeffer. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by both his parents and brother, Wayne Thome. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013; and Services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704. A procession will follow the services to Holy Hope Catholic Cemetery to 3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Tucson Diocesan Council. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, (742-7901).
