Obituary of Edward L. Belanger

Edward L Belanger was born on July 10, 1934, in Burlington, VT and spent most of his life in Cohoes, NY. He passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, AZ, on Sept 16, 2013, after a battle with cancer. He served in the U.S. Air Force (68th Field Maint. Squad jet engine mechanic) from 1951-55, worked many years at the U.S. Army Watervliet Arsenal, and retired from the Stratton Dept. of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, in Albany, NY, in 1997. A resident of Tucson since 1997, he is survived by his daughter, Sandra Davenport (Tucson), his son, Mark Belanger (San Diego), his granddaughters, Patricia and Andrea Davenport (Clifton Park, NY), and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by a son (Steve Belanger), his parents (Rose and Thomas Belanger), and eight brothers and sisters (Germaine Rondeau, Roland Belanger, Roger Belanger, Thomas Belanger, Florence O'Donnell, Teresa Burns, Blanche Gross and Kathleen Falco). A memorial service will be held Oct 2, 11 am, at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sierra Vista, AZ.
