Obituary of Glen Geisert

Retired Lieutenant Commander Glen Geisert, 90, a member of the Greatest Generation, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, surrounded by his loving family members. Glen was born on July 26, 1923, in Ogallala, Nebraska. He served in the Pacific during World War II. After his tenure in the Navy, he was a high school teacher for 39 years in Pueblo, CO, and Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Geisert M.D., and Mark Phelps; his son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Lisa Geisert; his grandchildren, Dani, Coco, Andy and Mazey; and his sister, Alberta Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger sister, Mabel. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 East 3rd Street, Tucson, AZ 85716.
