| Arthur J. Adair, Founder, In Memoriam Co-Founder of the Adair Funeral Homes in 1956 and President until his death on June 5, 1973, Arthur J. Adair established a living legacy of "Serving the Living With Faithful Service" that has carried the funeral home for 46 years. The vision and leadership of this wonderful man can best be seen by the longevity of the employees who were blessed to be able to work for him (several employees with over 30 years of service to the Adair Funeral Homes), and also the number of employees who worked for him who have gone on to manage or open funeral homes throughout the Southern United States. |
| Martha J. Adair, Owner Office Phone: 520.326.4343 Fax: 520.326.3591 After having actively participated in the opening and operation of the Adair Funeral Homes for 17 years, Martha Adair took over the leadership of the funeral home and staff in 1973 upon the death of her husband. She continued the growth of the funeral home from the original chapel to three chapels. In 1977 she was one of ten people to receive the first Jefferson Award from the American Institute for Public Service, and in 1980 was chosen Woman of the Year from the American Women's Association. She also started the "Assist" program for assisting widows and widowers to adjust to life after the loss of a spouse. While she has turned most of the day to day operation of the funeral homes over to her sons, she still remains active in determining the direction of the funeral homes programs and continues to work with families. |

Working with his mother in the management after his fathers death Ron eventually took over as president of the funeral homes and continued the tradition of growth based upon service. A great believer in service to the community and the industry, Ron served for several years as Secretary for the State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers, served as President of the Arizona Funeral Directors Association, Governor for the Arizona Optimists, Director for the Arizona Optimist Foundation, President and current Executive Secretary of the National Association of Approved Morticians, committee member or committee chairman for various committees of the National Funeral Directions Association, founder of the Foundation for Children of the Arizona Funeral Directors Association, as well as maintaining his directing of the Adair Funeral Homes along with his mother and brother. |

"Hank" Adair became active with the funeral home upon the death of his father. Rapidly becoming involved in the management of the funeral homes with his mother and brother, Hank also took over direction of the Avalon Chapel. Also very active in continuing the community service of the Adair Funeral Homes, Hank has been a member or served on the board of the Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona, Tucson Metropolitan Ministries dba TMM Family Services, Selected Independent Funeral Homes, National Association of Approved Morticians, and the Mesa Community College Mortuary Science Advisory Board. |

He has worked with them continuously since then in various positions. He was the first manager of their Avalon Chapel when it opened, and has served in various other management positions, currently serving as General Manager for all Adair locations. John is a board member for the Southern Arizona Missing In Action Project. |

Attended Phoenix College and Pima College before entering the Military Service in the Army in 1967 where he served until 1970. Serving in South Korea and Vietnam; attaining the rank of SP/5. After returning from Military Service, John then joined his parents Ambulance Service that provided service for the Tucson area for 30 years until his parents retired. Soon after that he joined the Adair Funeral Home to do his apprenticeship and worked for about 2 ½ years before applying to attend Cypress Mortuary College and then graduating in 1974. John received his Embalmers license in 1984 and Funeral Directors License in 1986. John then returned to Adair Funeral Homes. John is the supervisor of the Preparation Room. John also has been in charge of OSHA. He is a member of the Arizona State Disaster Team, a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, and a member of Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. John has a beagle named Snoopy that is very much loved. John’s hobby is long distance bicycle riding and involved in raising monies for charities. |
| Phillip Anthony Brown, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer Office Phone: 520-326-4343 A 1990 Mortuary Science graduate and recipient of the highly coveted C. Beaver Edwards Restorative Art Award from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Also, served as Treasurer for the Wayne State University Mortuary Science Class of 1990. Serving families faithfully as a Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 20 years in Michigan and Arizona. After earning a Masters of Science Degree in Accounting (Cum Laude) from Walsh College of Accountancy, worked as an auditor and tax accountant for the highly prestigious firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Detroit, Michigan. The love of funeral directing, embalming and taking care of families drew me back to funeral service. Now, I am honored to provide my professional skills to the Adair family in Tucson, Arizona. |

Has always enjoyed working with others and was honored when asked to help apply for the Pursuit of Excellence Award through the National Funeral Directors Association for 2011 & 2012. She is very blessed to be working with such a wonderful group of people. |

She married the love her life in 1996 and has a blended family with 5 children. She's an active member of the Eastside AG Church where she sings in the Choir and volunteers in the nursery. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant for many years and was a Co-Owner of a local business. In 2010 she became part of the Adair staff. |

She met JR King in early 2010 and then married him in November 2010. In April 2012 Cortney was brought on board as an administrative assistant for the Adair family at the Dodge Chapel. |

| David J. Duckwiler, Licensed Cremationist David has resided in Arizona most of his life. Was a general contractor for over 35 years prior to receiving his Crematory license through the State of AZ Board of Funeral Director & Embalmers in 2012. Is an active member of the East Side AG church and has been happily married for 16 years |

He graduated from Palo Verde High School and attended Pima Community College, where he studied Forensic Science and earned an EMT Certificate. Steve has worked for funeral homes in Tucson for over 20 years. Steve enjoys his position at Adair Funeral Home. He is a true animal lover, and currently has two dogs, Max and Duke, whom he rescued from the pound. |

He has worked at our Funeral Homes on a part-time basis for nearly 10 years. His long experience around families going through death has given his a compassionate heart and excellent skills to help our families in need. Steve assists our families by both conducting services and serving as one of our staff persons. Steve was born and raised in Maine, he has served churches in Canada, Maine, Indiana, Iowa and Arizona. |
